Now Accepting Applications for Spring 2027
United Way Success By 6® is offering a limited number of partial scholarships to early childhood educators pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field.
These scholarships support individuals working in early care and education programs in Buchanan and Andrew counties in Missouri, and Doniphan County in Kansas, who are committed to continuing their careers in early childhood education.
Scholarship Details
United Way Success By 6® scholarships cover 90% of tuition, required books and required fees for an approved college course after all other available financial assistance has been applied.
To qualify for scholarship funding, the approved course must be required for graduation. Scholarship recipients are expected to earn a passing grade in the funded course.
Scholarships are available for the Spring 2027 semester, and funding is limited.
Who Is Eligible to Apply?
Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Currently work at least 30 hours per week in a licensed or license-exempt early care and education setting that accepts Missouri subsidy or offers other tuition assistance.
- Work in an early care and education program located in Buchanan, Andrew or Doniphan counties.
- Have at least one year of work or volunteer experience in an early care and education setting before the first day of class.
- Attend an accredited college or university.
- Be pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field.
- Commit to working for at least one year in an early care and education setting in Buchanan, Andrew or Doniphan counties after receiving the scholarship.
- Apply for all available financial assistance, including Pell Grants and TEACH scholarships, before submitting an application.
Applicants who are not in good standing with TEACH will not be considered until their outstanding obligations have been satisfied.
Failure to meet eligibility requirements may affect scholarship consideration.
