Campaign Center

Combine fun, a chance to join together with friends and colleagues, and a way to make a positive difference in the community, and you have the United Way campaign. Resources produced through the campaign support vital human care services delivered by 18 local partner agencies—and work to build a brighter future through United Way’s community initiatives.

Meet the Chair

photo“There is no better feeling than to have the opportunity to represent the many volunteers and agencies of the United Way,” says John Pinzino of his new assignment as the 2007 campaign chair. “They work so hard and are so dedicated in reaching out to those in need in our community.”

John is also community bank president of UMB. A native of St. Joseph, John graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia and attended the Stonier Graduate School of Banking. His 30-year career has taken him to bank positions in Columbia, Joplin, and Harrisonville before returning home to St. Joseph in 1993.

An active community volunteer, John has served as the United Way board treasurer, as a past president of the Kiwanis Club, and as treasurer for Junior Achievement. He is member of the Mo-Kan Regional Council loan committee and the Heartland Foundation’s resource committee.
